Winter in the Northwoods

This collection represents two keynote staples of Minnesota’s northwoods: Great Gray Owls and the vicious bite of winter. An underlying urgency to preserve life rings out over this land, knifing its way through an eerie quiet like razor sharp talons through frozen snow. Our world bursts at the seams with complexity, ringing chaos and a constant lust to be noticed. In this sliver of our planet, however, the tightrope act between life and death could not be more simple, its silent tension more deafening, nor its incessant need to go unnoticed more mandatory.
